SkyView KPI Mapper for ZK SAM test equipment users will unzip ZK log files for any technology - UMTS, CDMA, GSM - and create both MapInfo maps and easy to use text files for KPI data.

SkyView KPI Mapper is a fast and affordable tool that enables RF and Performance Engineers and Technicians to quickly post process, map, and display ZK drive test data and system Key Performance Indicators.

SkyView KPI Mapper provides the following:

  1. Log files produced by ZK Celltest contain the measurements that engineers need in order to analyze a drive test of your wireless network. The KPI Mapper automatically unzips, and loads multiple log files. All technologies are handled automatically, with no need for user intervention.
  2. Drive test projects may for days or even months – so organization of drive test results is often a problem… KPI Mapper provides a managed folder structure for drive test projects.
  3. One of the outputs is comma delimited text format (.csv) files…compatible with MS Excel, MS Access…and many other applications. Engineers can easily work with these files to create Graphs, statistics, and tables.
  4. The KPI Mapper creates all of the files necessary for MapInfo – using MapInfo Professional; the test measurements can be queried, displayed and mapped, providing the information needed for problem resolutions.
  5. Finally, printable maps are produced for each of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each technology/device that was deployed in the drive test. The maps are in finished format - even users who are not familiar with MapInfo can easily tailor, print, or export them for reports or presentations.

SkyView KPI Mapper outputs complete MapInfo workspaces with basemaps selectable by the user and separate layouts for each KPI with Title and Legend that are ready for printing. Add on features include Indoor testing option with building floor plans instead of basemaps.

SkyView KPI Mapper also produces output comma delimited text files. The output filenames are prefixed with an acronym depending on the technology, as shown in the following table. Each filename will also include a device number that depends on the setup used to collect the data.

Future releases of SkyView KPI Mapper will allow engineers to easily combine the output from ZK SAM drive test data with any Base Station controller data or any other geographically referenced performance data and display it in Google Earth - along with a 3D Model of the entire Radio Network. This includes properly displayed and referenced site and antenna data with correct azimuth and tilt, antenna half-power polygons, and even complete antenna patterns shown in the correct reference frame with terrain and 3D buildings in Google Earth.

Future releases for In Building testing on multiple floors will also be viewable at the same time in 3D in Google Earth. Another option will be to add an image of the internal floor plan at the correct height and orientation in Google Earth with the performance data.
